Handspun fibers and Encaustic painting

My friend, Kim Molitor, makes the most wonderful handspun yarn!  She uses soy, wool, alpaca, and whatever!  This skill is just amazing to me.

Not only does she spin yarn and make wonderful things from it, but she makes encaustic paintings.  It’s painting with wax.   But see here for more info on that…..Whoa!  check this one out…

grassgirl What impresses me so much about this is the way the wax looks leafy around the edges.  How does she get wax to do that?

She has an etsy shop too!

Check her out!
