Oh I just love capes!

Did you see the new capes?

Pic by Aaron/ Tsururadio!

I just think it’s so fun to wear a cape.  Heather and I had so much fun shooting these pics too…..

The best pics, in my opinion, are these below.  This is the kind of thing I really hope you do in these capes!  Way more fun!

Do the Robot!

Make fun of your co-workers!

Humor your kids with a fake laugh as they climb on the jungle gym! (they were actually realy good about the shoot!)

There you go!  enjoy!

If you want to see more, head over to our site here

Locals can also go to Wholly Craft!

A few notes

First things first, I love that someone found my blog by searching for “tiny pants”

Had a great time at the Indie Inc conference today.  Columbus is so lucky to have a talented group of people so willing to share information.  Meeting Crimson Cup Dude, Greg, was a highlight.  I’ve heard so many great things about Crimson Cup and learned more about them today.  Go check them out!  And getting to hear Liz Lessner talk about her success like she just got some great shoes on sale is always humbling.  The woman is a powerhouse and yet so sweet and open to talking about all of it with us.  the good, bad, and otherwise unruly.

Indie Inc was a conference with informational sessions that were at the very least entertaining and at the most very informative.  I think the tax discussion alone may save me some money.  (let’s hear it for money!)  And seeing old friends and meeting some new ones was worth the price of admission.  (let’s hear it for friends!) Who doesn’t love a conference where, during the break, there’s a vodka tasting?

Kara and I kept saying we needed to get home and get to work on the many topics that inspired us.  Namely, the fact that you are here reading my slightly neglected blog.  Thanks.  I appreciate it!

thank you from the bottoms of our hearts!

This week we are filling orders for Dorothy Lane, 3 Boutique, and Wholly Craft.  (let’s hear it for handmade!)  And loads of special orders.  If you live in Wisconsin, there may be an AmyD surprise coming up soon.  For some reason, I get a lot of customers from Wisconsin, but that’s a whole ‘nother Oprah.

who doesn't love a beagle?!

Busy Days in the Sweatshop!

Ready to go!

Yesterday, we shipped out what, in the industry, is called “an assload” of aprons and coffee sleeves to Dorothy Lane Markets in Dayton, Ohio.  Tell your friends to check them out!  The lovely Kristin Marks of @cbusmom fame hooked us up.  She’s the official AmyD matchmaker.

Kristin has a way of talking to folks about my stuff that seriously must have some voodoo attached to it.  They listen.  They check it out.  Best business investment I have made to date.  PLUS, she’s super nice and foxy and so now I get to see her more.

We (my fantastic team includes Kara Cronley and Heather Gilbert) are making some great new clothes for you to try on and take home this weekend at Comfest! Hopefully, I’ll be next to Open Heart Art Studio again.  They have so much fun and really helped me last year as I was a Comfest newbie.  Heidi’s dad even went and got change for me in the middle of the day on Saturday!  Really, a saint.

My friends are having a baby too! It’s a banner week.  I almost feel guilty.

See you this weekend at Comfest!

A long tank-top

I’m pretty happy with my new addition to Etsy, a long tank top.  I’m cold and sick of my ass-crack showing when I bend over!  Just saying……

Getting by with a little help from my friends……

There have been some new ideas floating around in my head for over a year now!  Luckily, I have great friends that help out and watch my kids and a new great sewing assistant to help with cutting and sewing the simple things.    Thanks to one of my great friends who offered to watch the little ones today, I was able to finish this….

Made by Pattycake, from Ryan

Had my first shop hours!  It was so nice of everyone to stop by!  Ryan, of Brilliant, brought this fancy pants mini-cake from Pattycake.  It tasted as good as it looks!

First customer!

First customer!

After some technical difficulties, Ryan was my first official customer!  He also brought his awesome wife, who is the cutest EVER!  You can see, I’m very excited about it!

The lovely Trish Dehnbostel took these photos!  She is opening a photography studio right next door called, Look At Me Photography.  Also, The Rain Brothers, are moving to a different space.  They are getting so big they need a giant place!  As much as I hate for them to leave, I’m very excited for them.  They are such nice people.

Kim Molitor, of Warped and Twisted will be sharing my space with me!  She will also teach spinning among other things.  She’s awesome!

I’ll be in the shop Friday from 12-3, so stop by if you are in the neighborhood!

Shop Day

I’m having my first “shop day” of sorts on Friday at my new space!  I’ll be there around 12:30-around 3:30.  I know that’s kind of vague, but there you have it.

I do hope you will try to make it by!  Saturday is the Urban Gardener’s MArket in the lot of the SuzieQ from 9-1, so that’s where I will be Saturday.

I’ll have iced tea and lemonade there for you!
